Screening and Evaluation of the Bioremediation Potential of Cu/Zn …
As expected, the presence of bacteria resulted in increased concentrations of water-extractable Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd, and Fe in autoclaved soil compared to axenic soil (Figure Figure2 2). These results suggest that the 10 Cu/Zn-resistant isolates had metal-solubilizing potential in heavy metal-polluted soil, thereby increasing metal bioavailability.

Levels of Cu, Zn, Pb, and Cd in the leaves of the tea plant
The range for concentration of Cu, Zn, Pb, and Cd was 2.34–25.26, 43.9–71.3 µg/g, which is too low to be detected by the analytical techniques and 0.2–1., respectively. Concentration of Cu, Zn, and Pb were lower than those found in our study and concentration of Cd was higher than the concentration obtained in our study.

The Cu–Pb–As–Zn mineralization of Cap Garonne (Le Pradet, Provence, France; Fig. 1) is located in Triassic siliciclastic rocks, a few meters above the contact between Paleozoic and Mesozoic rocks (Fig. 2). It is the only known Cu–Pb–As–Zn association of Provence and surrounding areas, covering only a few hectares.

Concentrations of Cu in the litter leachate were correlated with dissolved organic C (DOC), whereas Zn and Pb were mainly related to leachate pH. Metal concentrations in the soil solution were weakly influenced by their total content in soils and the monthly fluctuations reached 300, 600, and 700% for Cu, Pb, and Zn, respectively.
